Chris Sullivan proudly declares his candidacy for Anderson County Council Seat 1 in the upcoming election cycle. A devoted lifelong Andersonian with roots dating back seven generations in Anderson County, Sullivan brings a wealth of local experience and a deep commitment to serving the community.
Having graduated from T.L. Hanna High School in 1989 and earning a BBA from the University of Georgia in 1993, Sullivan has a strong educational background. His family legacy includes the establishment of Sullivan Buick in the 1950s, a business that thrived until the early 1990s. Growing up, Chris witnessed his late parents, Johnny and Jan Sullivan, actively serving on various Boards, instilling in him a sense of duty to give back to the Anderson community.
Upon returning to Anderson after completing his education, Sullivan became actively involved with the local Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and various Boards and Committees. In 2003, he married his wife, Sissa Sullivan of Mobile, Alabama, and together they have two daughters, Blakely and Brady.
With 15 years of experience in the local banking industry, Sullivan, along with his wife, ventured into entrepreneurship by opening Blake and Brady Boutique in Downtown Anderson in 2007. His involvement in the growth of Downtown Anderson has been one of the defining moments of his life.
As a proud Andersonian, Sullivan envisions a future of "Smart Growth" for the community. He aims to attract quality industries that provide high-paying jobs while preserving the charm and character that make Anderson County an attractive place to live. His focus on economic development, managed growth, and improving local infrastructure aligns with his goal to make Anderson County one of the best areas to live in the entire country.
While running for Seat 1, Sullivan expressed his passion for the entire county of Anderson. He is committed to representing the best interests of the County by actively participating in exciting projects and initiatives.
